Ain Mosni presents Stop Sleeping: The Mixtape

Ain Mosni is a rapper of Nigerian origin and has been regarded as a top notch rapper with intelligent lyrics and a rhyme delivery that is likened to Hip Hop veterans. Some say he has a similar voice texture to American rapper Common, others say he is reminiscent of Hip Hop legend Rakim. A lyricist extraordinaire in every sense of the phrase; he was born and raised in Nigeria and he is one of the few rappers that is placed in high esteem for his gift of delivering songs with notable content. A lot of people still find it hard to believe that he hasn’t spent a substantial part of his life in America because of his impeccable rhyme delivery. His wealth of talent and intense story telling abilities has placed him on the lips of many fans across the globe. He has been dubbed the ‘Revolution’ in many hip hop circles in Africa and beyond.

Video : Olamide – E Ni Duro

This artist was brought to my attention by DJ A40 last year and the record made it onto DJ Don X TGIF Quick mix Vol 11
Olamide is on the rarely traveled path of hardcore Yoruba Hip Hop under the management of Toni Payne and at this rate I see him helping to promote the ever evolving native dialect rap culture.

Video: Wizkid – Tease Me

This was one of the most “buzz’d” about artist in 2010. The track Tease Me is still one of the most played tracks in clubs at the moment, so it is no wonder when the video dropped, expectations were through the roof as is the norm. But I wonder why they had to go the route of him being 21 in order for the strip club video concept to work. There are a million and one ways this video could have been made that’ll still preserve the ‘fun’ side of the track as this video although well executed; did not do the record full justice in my book.
