Melissa St. Rose AKA Melly Rose was born in Trinidad & Tobago.
Like a lot of musical prodigy’s, she started singing at the tender age of 6 in the church choir. This molded her music background and helped hone her skills as a songstress.
She grew up listening to different styles and genres of music from different artists such as Sizzla, Machel Montano, Alison Hynes, Marvin Gay, Michael Jackson, Billie Holiday and Chris de Burgh.
At the age of 14, Melly moved to the USA to attend the Baltimore school for
the Arts in Maryland, and had the opportunity to study and perform with the likes of BSO, Josh Groban and many other classically trained musicians.
Melly Rose genre of music is a new fusion of international flavor that can be described as Afro-Caribbean.
Her affiliation with artistes from the Caribbean Islands, African Continent and contemporary American artistes has helped Melly Rose develop a unique musical style that is hard to miss or underrate.
She has subsequently performed in various college shows across the US and internationally, including Ghana and the Bahamas. Melly Rose’s mantra is simply “Music is Me”, it has been the one constant in her life amongst many changes, ups and downs.

After a long period of
barely concealed anticipation, fans of Nigeria’s rising Alternative Soul artiste; Bez Idakula can
finally heave a huge sigh of relief as the bespectacled, whiz-on strings musician has concluded arrangements for his album release this summer. The hugely anticipated Super
Sun album, a career debut from the incredibly talented artiste is set to be officially released in July 2011.
The 13 track album which was entirely produced by the enigmatic Cobhams Asuquo, with the exception of one track produced by IBK, captures the rare and un-distilled essence of Bez. He experiments with new upbeat and groovy sounds, drawing from fresh acoustic influences as he takes the listener on a journey of self discovery, love and inspiration.
Featuring hits such as ‘Zuciya Daya’ – (One Heart), ‘More You’ ‘Stop Pretending’ and the self titled ‘Super Sun,’ listeners get the feel of an artiste who gently fuses an understated and unusual hybrid of soul, jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop music that sets him well apart from the main stream Afro-hip-hop movement.
According to a statement from the artiste’s record label and management team, CAMP (Cobhams Asuquo Music Productions); ‘The Super Sun career debut from Bez is an album that the world needs to listen to. The vocal prowess and verbal dexterity of the artiste, exquisite musical arrangement and superb production are elements which would ensure that this album is a keep-sake.’

The talent hunt was indeed a parade of tested producers including Samklef [Producer for Wizkid’s Don’t Dull] and Phat E [J’odie’s Kuchi kuchi baby]. Joey Plus mentored the winning band at this year’s Star Quest talent hunt, B.E.A.T.
Before Star Quest, Joey Plus born Joseph Eferurhobo mentored under Willie Oputa – a Producer/DJ with legendary Tuface Idibia engineered tracks for the like of Blackfaze [Plantashun Boiz], Krazy Kulture et al and release his first single, ‘No time’ featuring Dampte of Wine your tinkolo featuring YQ fame.The Producer/singer revamped his recording career as he launches the #Joeytunesday new music giveaway every tuesday via his Twitter account: @JoeyPlus weeks ago. He produced tracks for several upcoming artistes including the Krazy Kulture duo of ‘jupa’ fame. 2007, A group – Skoolboi was birthed with Joey Plus, Dampte (of ‘wine your tinkolo’ fame) and two other friends. A mixtape titled ‘Chronicles From The yard’ was released in 2010 featuring emerging acts like Laura Ikeji, Shorty Ace, Ill breeze et al. Joey Plus is pursuing a solo career doing pop and dance music with the release of his debut single – ‘No Time’ featuring Dampte. ‘No Time’ has been receiving rave reviews and becoming a favorite with fans.
